1. Nature of the Website & Services

Rajaji Safari (rajajisafari.com) is an eco-tourism safari information, tour planning, and booking-assistance portal operating under registered local eco-tourism management in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.

Our services include providing comprehensive zone guidance, safari timing information, assist visitors with official Uttarakhand Forest Department permit procedures, registered 4x4 safari jeep bookings, certified nature guides, and local transit arrangements.

2. Informational & Planning Guidance

All information regarding safari timings, entry charges, zone openings, vehicle rules, and wildlife movement provided on this portal is for general planning guidance.

Safari operational rules, gate timings, and entry fees are regulated by the Forest Department authorities and are subject to revision based on weather conditions, seasonal closures (such as monsoon monsoon closures from June 16 to November 14), administrative directives, or conservation protocols.

3. Permit Processing & Booking Confirmations

Submitting an online enquiry or WhatsApp request does not automatically guarantee safari permit issuance or zone confirmation.

  • Permit Allocation: Permits are issued by forest authorities on a strictly limited quota basis per safari shift and gate (Chilla, Motichur, Ranipur, Jhilmil Jheel, Mohand).
  • Verification: Bookings are considered final only after receiving explicit written confirmation, permit approval, and fulfilling required ID submissions.
  • Identity Accuracy: Travelers must carry original Government Photo ID cards (matching the names and numbers provided during permit application) at the gate. Failure to present matching original IDs may result in gate entry rejection by forest officials.

4. Park Rules & Visitor Code of Conduct

All visitors entering Rajaji National Park must strictly adhere to the Forest Protection Act and reserve regulations:

  • Visitors must remain seated inside the designated safari jeep at all times. Stepping down inside core forest zones is strictly prohibited.
  • Littering, plastic waste, smoking, consumption of alcohol, carrying weapons, or loud noises/music are illegal inside the reserve.
  • Flash photography, teasing, feeding, or disturbing wildlife is strictly punishable under wildlife protection laws.
  • Instructions given by the registered forest driver and official forest guide must be followed without exception.

5. Limitation of Liability & Unexpected Closures

Rajaji Safari shall not be held liable for any delay, itinerary modification, or safari cancellation resulting from natural calamities, unseasonal rainfall, river flooding, sudden forest gate closures, VIP movement, or government order changes.

As wild animals move freely within their natural habitat across 820.42 km² of Shivalik forest, wildlife sightings (including tigers, elephants, and leopards) cannot be guaranteed on any safari drive.
