Mandatory Entry Guidelines & ID Proof Requirements:
1. All visitors must carry original photo identification (Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Driving License) matching the entry permit registration details.
2. Camera fees (DSLR / Professional Lens) and commercial filming permissions are charged separately by Uttarakhand Forest Department at the gate.

Rajaji Tiger Reserve features multiple safari ranges, each offering unique terrain, vegetation, and wildlife sightings. Permits are issued gate-wise.
Chilla Safari Zone (Premier Tiger & Elephant Gate)
Chilla is the flagship and most popular safari zone of Rajaji National Park. Stretching across vast grasslands along the Ganga canal, it offers the highest probability of spotting tiger families and wild elephant herds.
Motichur Safari Zone (Dense Sal Forest)
Surrounded by towering Sal trees and quiet forest brooks, Motichur offers an authentic canopy safari experience. Renowned for leopard sightings and quiet woodland bird watching.
Ranipur Safari Gate (Quiet Scenic Wilderness)
Ideal for travelers seeking peaceful wilderness without crowded jeep queues. Gentle undulating terrain with abundant ungulates and tranquil sunset spots.
Jhilmil Zone Gate (Birdwatching Haven)
Rajaji’s dedicated wetland avian zone. Surrounded by natural water reservoirs, it attracts rare migratory ducks, eagles, storks, and kingfishers every winter.

Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport (DED) is the nearest airport, located just 15 km from Motichur Gate and 35 km from Chilla Gate. Direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, & Bangalore.
By Train (Railways)
Haridwar Junction (HW) is 12 km from Chilla Gate. Rishikesh (RKSH) is 18 km. Daily Vande Bharat, Shatabdi, & Express trains connect Delhi, Lucknow, and Kolkata.
By Road (National Highway)
Well connected via NH-58 (Delhi - Haridwar Expressway). Distance from New Delhi is approximately 220 km (4 hours drive via Meerut-Muzaffarnagar bypass).
