Jhilmil Jheel is a pristine swamp deer conservation reserve located on the floodplains of the Ganges River. Declared a conservation reserve by former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in 2005, it provides a safe haven for five species of deer including the Barasingha, Sambhar, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, and Hog Deer.
